if people wanted an xbox console but they didnt like the price, wouldnt they buy the original xbox? The sales of those things are abismal, compared to the ps2 which still sells strong
speaking of which, even though the psone had a fantastic game library and was cheaper, the newly launched and more expensive ps2 outsold the psone briskfully and demand is still high today.

some developers will make us pay for games i know. But i still stand by the fact that pc's provide a great online gaming experience and its free. So who says sony cant make a great online experience thats free? Especially since they can use xbox live as a template

listen man, i get where you're coming from, but the psp remote is just a little bonus thing sony has created for us if we wanna use it. If you have a psp already, hey presto! You got another controller. Its not like sony is charging you to use it
And it would work perfectly fine with most games. Like Final Fantasy or pro evolution soccer.
Most people will buy the official controllers, but if i can use my psp as an extra controller aswell, than im not complaining....

i dont think i put my thoughts across properly. What i meant was, in years to come, ps3 games will graphically improve FASTER than 360 games will graphically improve. PS3 games will look much better than 360 games in say 5 years

id rather pay $500 for a ps3 and play games i KNOW ill like and that ive wanted since i first heard about them, rather than pay $400 for a 360 which has inferior hardware, you have to pay for online but above all, hasnt got a single game on it that has made me think, "That looks so cool. actually im buying a ps3 for the games i like, and the games i like won't be coming onto the 360. Motorstorm just happens to be another game i like thats only on the ps3, and I think that trailer was pretty cool actually. Most of all though, the game looks exciting and fun

the link you just pasted just had John Carmack being interviewed. And he said that the ps3 has the best peak performance and theoretically is the most powerful. What he said about developers was very true, about it being harder to program for on the ps3. But at the end of the day, top-end companies WILL develop for the ps3. So no dice

game attachment rates dont prove anything because most of ps2s fanbase are casual gamers who dont buy many games

PS2: 30 gamers = G.A.R. 6
70 casual gamers = G.A.R. 1
